Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Travel Delay and Trip Cancellation?

Timing and the state of your trip make the difference.

  • Trip Cancellation applies when you have to call off your trip before departure, leaving you with unused, non-refundable reservations.
  • Travel Delay applies when you are actively traveling and your flight or transit is held up for hours, forcing you to pay out of pocket for meals, ground transport, or an unexpected overnight hotel stay.
My flight was delayed. Which type of claim should I file?

Start a Travel Delay claim if your flight was delayed by hours and you had to pay for food, drinks, transport, or a hotel room while waiting. If the airline’s delay caused you to miss your entire journey or forced you to forfeit non-refundable bookings entirely, start a Trip Cancellation claim instead.

My luggage did not arrive at my destination. What should I do?

First, file a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) at the airline’s baggage desk before leaving the airport and keep the reference code. Then, select Baggage Delay on our platform. We use that PIR report and your receipts for emergency clothing, toiletries, and replacement items to recover your costs directly from the airline.

What is the first step I need to take to start my claim?

Before paying the initial fee, you must first create your secure account, log into your profile, and enter the details of your travel disruption. Once we have your case information and supporting receipts, you will pay the one-time initial fee so our specialists can formally launch your claim with the provider.
