Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifies as a valid reason for a trip cancellation claim?

Valid claims typically stem from unforeseen circumstances beyond your control. These include sudden severe illness or injury (affecting you or an immediate family member), mandatory quarantine, bereavement, natural disasters at your destination, severe weather shutdowns, or unexpected legal obligations like jury duty. Even if a provider initially rejected your direct request, we review your terms to build an enforceable case.

Can I recover money if my airline ticket or hotel was marked "non-refundable"?

Yes. “Non-refundable” is standard language travel providers use to discourage chargebacks and refunds. However, contract terms, consumer protection rules, and third-party booking clauses frequently include mandatory exceptions for uncontrollable emergencies. We challenge rigid cancellation clauses and fight to secure cash reimbursement rather than letting providers keep your money.

What happens if the airline or hotel offers me a voucher or credit instead of cash?

Providers often issue expiring travel credits because it protects their cash flow, not your interests. Unless you explicitly agreed to a travel voucher as your sole remedy, you may remain entitled to a complete cash refund back to your original payment method. We intervene directly to demand cash restitution over restrictive vouchers whenever the law or policy permits.

How soon after canceling my travel plans do I need to file a claim?

The sooner you file, the stronger your documentation remains. Most airlines, cruise operators, and insurers enforce strict notification windows ranging from 14 to 90 days following the scheduled departure date. Starting your claim with us immediately preserves time-sensitive communication and prevents carriers from closing your case on technical deadlines.

Will you handle claims if I booked through third-party platforms like Expedia or Booking.com?

Absolutely. Third-party online travel agencies (OTAs) notorious for passing responsibility back and forth between themselves and the airline or hotel. We eliminate that runaround by targeting both the booking broker and the operating carrier simultaneously until responsibility is pinned down and your funds are released.
